Burbank
Known for the many studios that call the city home, and its deep history with television and movie production. Burbank is home to many media companies such as Walt Disney and Warner Bros. Other attractions in Burbank include Downtown Burbank, the Martial Arts History Museum, the nations oldest Bob's Big Boy diner, DeBell Golf course and driving range, and The Castaway restaurant and bar, which overlooks Burbank with a view all the way to Downtown LA. Shopping options include the Burbank Town Center mall, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Costco, and the Empire Center. Located in the San Fernando Valley, its hills offer great hiking trails, and stunning views. There are two MetroLink stations in Burbank, for easy rail access to Downtown LA and other areas. The city is also home to the Hollywood Burbank Airport, providing flights on the major airlines to numerous destinations across the US. Transportation to and from the airport is available using MetroLink/Amtrak rail, bus lines, taxi/Uber/Lyft, and shuttles.
Glendale
Located in Los Angeles County, Glendale has great places to shop, hang out and have fun, such The Americana and Glendale Galleria malls, and the many restaurants on Brand Boulevard. It is home to the famous Moonlight Rollerway roller skating rink for family fun, which has been featured in films and TV. The Alex Theater on Brand Boulevard, which dates back to 1925, hosts numerous plays, musicals, concerts and more. Glendale is also home to ABC7 studios as well as Dreamworks Animation. Its Verdugo Mountains offer great equestrian routes and hilltop lookouts. Glendale Community College provides continuing post-secondary education for those looking for 2-year degrees or completing lower track courses before transferring to a university such as CSUN or UCLA.
Studio City
Just over the hill of Hollywood's energetic life is Studio City. Home to the CBS Studio Center, which dates back to the silent film era, and where the city gets its name. A neighborhood with trendy dining, it is heaven for foodies. Ventura Boulevard offers stylish gastropubs and classic sushi houses. Locals hit Wilacre Park for a woodsy hike and breath taking Valley views. Near both Burbank and Studio City, is Universal City, an area home to NBC/Universal Studios and the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park, featuring numerous rides and attractions based on film and TV properties such as Harry Potter, Jurassic World, and many more.
Sun Valley
A neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley near the 5 and 170 freeways. Sun Valley is known for its youthful population, and great diversity. Activities include hiking in the Versugo Mountains, horseback riding in the nearby Shadow Hills, as well as learning about and viewing wildflowers and landscapes at the Payne Foundation for Wild Flowers & Native Plants. Sun Valley has a MetroLink station for rail access and is close to the Bob Hope Airport in Burbank.
Toluca Lake
Toluca Lake is located 12 miles northwest of Downtown Los Angeles. The is also given to its private lake which is fed by the LA River. The city was part of the early ranch systems. Many celebrities have resided in the area, such as Steve Carell, Miley Cyrus, Melissa McCarthy, and Viola Davis. The neighborhood features many beautiful homes and is just minutes from several of the major studios in Burbank, Universal City, Glendale, and Hollywood. Nearby Metro Red Line stations in North Hollywood and Universal City provide easy access to Downtown LA and Hollywood.
